Behind the Scenes "Every Picture Tells A Story"

Introduction

Victoria's husband, Duncan, has never shared his photography before until now on ForeverLegendz.com. They decided it was time to share the Rock Concert photos and concert ticket stubs with the world. But they are more than just passionate music lovers or photographers selling random rock concert photos. With extensive experience as business and artist managers, they’ve lived the rock 'n' roll lifestyle from behind the scenes. Now, they’re offering a unique opportunity to share the magic, stories, and moments that only true industry insiders can provide.

Fleetwood Mac

Duncan and Victoria attended Fleetwood Mac's Rumours Tour in St. Louis, Missouri on their first date in 1977. Victoria fell in love with Fleetwood Mac that night. They sat in the second row and bonded over their music. This seemed to really be the beginning of fate. Later on, Victoria would not only work for the band but became friendly with Stevie Nicks, but also personal friend's with Mick Fleetwood for decades to come.  Victoria says he is a true gentle giant. A few years after seeing the Rumours Tour in St. Louis, Duncan and Victoria married in 1979 and then moved to Santa Barbara from St. Louis.

Mr. Rod Stewart

In June of 1979, Victoria went to go see “Mr. Rod Stewart” during The Blondes Have More Fun Tour at the Los Angeles Forum.  Her and Duncan had just moved to Santa Barbara so it was quite a trek! Little did they know then that a few years later, Victoria would be working for him at just 24 years-old.  Another act of fate that provided a meaningful experience.

Victoria and Duncan remember attending Mr. Stewart's 44th birthday party at his Beverly Hills home. They missed the memo that it was a black-tie affair and arrived a bit out of place -- Victoria in a neon green tight mini dress, and Duncan in khaki pants and a sports jacket. Mr. Stewart, as he preferred to be called, graciously pulled Victoria aside and said he would be able to find her anywhere with that dress Ha! Despite standing out among guests like Steven Spielberg and other notable celebrities, the couple felt warmly welcomed, and the night became a cherished memory."

Mr. Stewart had a dry sense of humor but incredibly funny. He generously paid for Victoria and Duncan's limo services every time they attended one of his shows. The Out of Order Tour lasted an impressive 18 months! It was the first tour Victoria ever worked on. Mr. Stewart reviewed the tour bills with Victoria to ensure his bandmates weren't slipping their girlfriends' expenses onto his account. His kindness, paired with his meticulous attention to detail, left a lasting impression.

Stevie Nicks Solo

In 1981, Duncan and Victoria drove from Santa Barbara to the Wilshire Ebell theater to see the Stevie Nicks' Bella Donna Tour. She was even more amazing than Victoria remembered. Her voice was haunting. Seeing Stevie on the last night of her first solo tour was very emotional.

Stevie's father introduced her and Stevie came on stage wrapped in a beautiful blue shawl and went right into Gold Dust Woman. When the song was over, she said to her audience, “welcome to the last night of this very short tour.  We’re sad because we wish it wasn’t over. thank you for being here.  I’m so honored that you came.”

Many years later, when Stevie was recording her album Street Angel, Victoria had the opportunity to attend her recording studio session. Stevie ordered Mexican food for everyone in the studio including her producer, engineer, back-up singers, Lori Nicks & Sharon Celani, and Greg Phillinganes, key board player extraordinaire who Victoria represented as his business manager. As the evening progressed, Stevie, Victoria, and her back-up singers ended up "sofa dancing". A night that Victoria will never forget.

Fast Forward to early 2000s

Being a female leader in a male dominated entertainment industry as a business and artist manager in the early 2000s, was no easy feat. Victoria was a remarkable and charismatic leader establishing great relationships with the likes of Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols and David Gahan of Depeche Mode of whom Victoria and Duncan have worked with for over 30 years now. The most kind and generous rock star you'll ever meet. Check out the personalized memorabilia.

Sex Pistols

Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols was a client as well as a good friend of Victoria's. When the Sex Pistols played at the Universal Amphitheater he arranged for Victoria to bring her sister and three young nephews to the show. As soon as they came on stage, everyone pushed forward and pandemonium erupted. The first three rows collapsed from the fans pushing forward. Victoria and her sister grabbed the three young boys and watched the rest of the show in the safety of the back stage lounge. An evening that they will ever forget.

Guns N' Roses

Here's a memorable Guns N' Roses All Access Pass from their New Years Eve show in the year 2000 at the House of Blue in Las Vegas. Axl and the band were supposed to go on at 11 PM, but did not come out on stage until 3 AM. Victoria and Duncan remember staying for the first two songs because they knew their good friend, Chris Pitman, the keyboard player, would ask for their feedback about the show.

Next..."Walk The Line" Movie

Victoria was managing Tyler Hilton during this time.  He played the young Elvis in this film.  When the movie was nominated for an Oscar, they were invited to several Oscar parties and had so much fun!  Victoria remembers chatting with both Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix.  Reese exuded confidence, optimism and natural charm. She was friendly and warm. Joaquin was also friendly but a bit more reserved and eccentric. Victoria took mental pictures of all of it!  Great memories! This plaque is personalized in Victoria's name!

Depeche Mode Concert (12/1/23): A Night to Remember!

This Depeche Mode Video clip was from the Las Vegas show on 12/1/23. David arranged for Victoria and Duncan's trip including putting them up at the Four Seasons and a car service to and from the show. When they pulled in, Depeche Mode's tour manager greeted and escorted them to the friends and family room. The tour manager told them that the band's long-time manager, Jonathan Kessler, was inquiring if they had arrived yet. It was full of the usual suspects having cocktails and it was loud with chatter.....then the door opened. The room got quiet when David made his way in and walked directly to Duncan and Victoria. He was (always has been) so kind and generous as mentioned.

Here's a clip from that night during the Memento Mori Tour (translation: "remember that you must die") which was planned in honor of their former bandmate, Fletch, who sadly and unexpectedly passed away at the age 60. A reminder that our time is fleeting and you have to make the most out of each day. He was part of the founding group of Depeche Mode in 1980 in Basildon, England. The group became one of the most successful rock acts and inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020. Of his role in the group, Fletcher humbly said: “Martin’s the songwriter, Alan’s the good musician, Dave’s the vocalist, and I bum around.” May he rest in peace.
